New Hampshire, like 19 other states and territories, initiated no new criminal human trafficking cases in 2018, ranking the state last in the nation for the number of new cases. In 2018, federal courts convicted one defendant in a criminal human trafficking cases, ranking New Hampshire 36th in the nation for number of defendants convicted. Federal courts did not order defendants to pay restitution to their victim(s).
