About the Author

Jessica Skocik

Jessica is a graduate of Notre Dame Law School and Penn State University. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Jessica served as an English Teaching Assistant in Johor, Malaysia as a member of the 2014 Fulbright Program, and worked with at risk youth in St. Louis, Missouri. As a law student, Jessica interned at Beyond Legal Aid in Chicago and the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division in the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, and externed with the National Immigrant Justice Center. In addition to those experiences, Jessica served as a member of the 2018-2019 class of Douglass Fellows and is carrying her experience with the Human Trafficking Institute forward as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York.
