Wyoming ranks last in the United States* in 2018 for the number of active criminal human trafficking cases making their way through federal courts. Like three other states and territories, Wyoming had no active criminal cases. Accordingly, Wyoming also initiated no new criminal human trafficking cases in 2018, ranking the state last in the nation, along with 19 other states and territories, for the number of new cases. Additionally, federal courts did not convict any defendants in criminal human trafficking cases, ranking Wyoming last in the nation, along with seven other states and territories, for the number of defendants convicted.
